Jacqueline Lara is the president of Mpact PR, LLC, which launched in 2010. Jacqueline has since directed the focus of Mpact PR, LLC to providing strategic consulting to entrepreneurs, artists, and cultural institutions whose work challenges the status quo and fosters general goodwill. As an avid arts lover, she’s also a contributing arts and culture writer for Adobe’s online publication and magazine, 99U, i-D Magazine, and OkayAfrica.

Jacqueline prides herself on advocating for unheard voices through her ability to tell their stories across multiple media platforms, reaching audiences both online and offline, and crafting and implementing strategic plans. Jacqueline pulls from a strong foundation of strategic thinking and experience in multiple aspects of publicity to produce lasting and impactful results for all of her clients. This distinctive approach has resulted in placements in numerous well-known media outlets including: The Wall Street Journal, NPR’s “All Things Considered” and “Tell Me More”, The Washington PostThe Los Angeles Times, CNN.com International, Buzzfeed, and Salon.com. Jacqueline has also had successful placements for her clients in special interest publications such as ESSENCE, Black Enterprise, Advocate.com, HOW Magazine, Communication Arts Magazine, and Success Magazine.

Jacqueline has spoken about communications, storytelling and the intersection of arts and business at the World Bank, Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art, Creative Colony, Adobe MAX, Maryland Women’s Business Center and the U.S. Small Business Administration. She holds a BA in Sociology with a concentration in Organizations from the University of Maryland, is a 2014 alumna of the Urban Bush Women’s Summer Leadership Intensive and 2017 alumna of THREAD at Yale: Storytelling in Modern Media.
