Jacqueline Lara is Founder and CEO of Mpact PR, which offers cutting-edge communications strategy, training, and media relations services to high-impact organizations, creative organizations, and individuals whose work challenges the status quo and fosters goodwill. She is also host of the new podcast, Radical Acts Uncut.

Jacqueline expertly leads teams and advises executives to creativity build thought leadership and raise brand awareness. She formerly covered the intersection of arts and social justice as a contributing writer for Adobe’s online publication and magazine, 99U, Adobe Create, i-D Magazine, OkayAfrica, Big Cartel’s blog, and mater mea. 

Her distinctive approach has resulted in broadcast and print coverage that includes op-eds and interviews in The New York Times, Worth Magazine, ABC’s Nightline News, CBS Sunday Morning, Forbes, CNN.com International, PBS NewsHour, NPR’s “All Things Considered” and “Code Switch,” ESSENCE Magazine, HOW Magazine, and Advocate.com, among others. 

Jacqueline has spoken about communications, storytelling, and the intersection of arts and business at the World Bank, Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art, Creative Colony, Adobe MAX, Maryland Women’s Business Center, and the U.S. Small Business Administration. Current and past partners include: Blindian Project, CapEQ, Spiritual Essence Yoga, She the People, Abigail E. Disney, and AIGA to name few. She holds a BA in Sociology with a concentration in Organizations from the University of Maryland, is a 2014 alumna of the Urban Bush Women’s Summer Leadership Intensive and 2017 alumna of THREAD at Yale: Storytelling in Modern Media.
