Our Stories: Black Women at Intersection of Career x Motherhood

A black and white image of the word mater mea.

mater mea is a beautiful publication celebrating the fullness of black women at the intersection of motherhood and career.  Launched in 2012, the site offers a more realistic depiction of black women in the many spaces they occupy: as mothers, daughters, employees and employers, lovers, and friends.

Below, are mix of pieces I’ve contributed to mater mea on behalf of clients and campaigns as well as my personal experience as a mother.
