We’ve all had our share of experiences (bad and good) working with boards…so what gives? Why are some boards effective, while others seem out-of-sync with the organization they serve? I caught up with Patrick S. Campbell to share his thoughts on keys to inspired, effective boards.

As background, I knew Patrick by name years before we’d meet in person because my college friend, Urmika Devi, served on Street Law, Inc.’s board with him. Ten years later, they’re still serving on Street Law’s board, and I have consulted with Street Law around their annual awards dinner.

The 3Ps of Effective Boards:
1) Personal Connection

      :

2) Passion

3) Participation

Please share your thoughts/keys to effective boards? Have you seen an effective board at work? We’d love to hear from you!
